This morning en route to a Friends of Wilson Reserve working-bee, I saw a large bird under noisy attack by Bell Miners. It flew across the path and I got a brief glimpse of its parrot shape, red underparts and green breast and face. It must be a female or immature. The Bell Miners continued their attack and chased it southward into the bush surrounding the west arm of the Bailey Billabong, where it disappeared. King Parrots are only occasional visitors to Wilson Reserve.
