Giday Birders, following on from recent discussions on bird mortality from
fishing operations I got this email this morning. There is very little
information contained in it, the web site is only one page and the 'new
inventors' site only confirms that the hook is coming up. But if it is as good
as the claim then it will be fantastic.

Cheers

Dear colleagues, associates & friends,

I have been developing a method to prevent seabird & turtle deaths in long-line
fishing globally. My work has produced the Smart Hook, a way to stop hundreds
of thousands of turtles & seabirds becoming hooked whilst the long-line is
being set throughout the oceans of the world.

This new innovation and invention is being featured on the ABC program "New
Inventors" at 8:00 pm on Wednesday 20th August.

If you are unable to see the show on TV, it can be viewed and downloaded after
the show by following the links on their website
http://www.abc.net.au/tv/newinventors/ .

Thank you all for your support to date and helping find a solution to this
environmental problem. Feel free to pass this onto anyone you believe may be
interested.

Please don't forget to vote for the peoples choice after the show and I look
forward to your feedback, enquiries and continued support.

Yours sincerely

Hans Jusseit
