In relation to Belinda's question, For the past number of years I have had a
pair of Grey Butcherbirds breeding close to my home in the same tree, in
suburban Applecross in Perth. In all instances the previous years young have
been forced out by mid August, that is when slightly less than one year old.
At present the 2007 young is still with the parents, but with breeding just
around the corner, I suspect the young may not be around for too much longer.
