Greetings,
What a great drive home for lunch today!
Spotted Harrier right beside the car as I headed up the hill out of Malanda.
Red Goshawk at the corner of the Atherton Malanda Road and Andrickson Rd. Watched it fly to Collins Rd, double back and I think it landed in the trees there between these two intersections but could not locate it.
Red-backed Kingfisher just east of Lesley Creek on the Curtain Figtree Rd.
A quick stop at the fig got me two male Pied Monarchs, a female Yellow-breasted Boatbill and both Shrike-thrushes among a rush of birds.

What a tough life here in birding heaven!

Regards,
Alan Gillanders
