Ruth and I found the House Crow at Dee Why on Tuesday (10/6/2008). We walked
around the reserve for about 90 minutes, checking out the playground, the
largish grassy area and then walking into the more bushy section. We'd
almost given up and were slowly walking back to our car and decided to check
out the picnic area close to the beach. We saw a bunch of Common Mynas
foraging on the ground and with them was a larger bird that turned out to be
the House Crow!

We looked for Bulbuls but were unable to find them. Next time perhaps.

Hi All,
I wonder if anyone is able to help?

We will be coming through Sydney tomorrow, and wondering:

1. If the House Crow is still around, and how to go about finding it
( directions for out-of-towners, please)

2. Where might be the best place to look for Red-whiskered Bulbuls?

We hoped to catch up with Peter Madvig for assistance/guidance, but I
have not been able to contact him, so any other assistance greatly
appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

John Tongue and family,
(from Ulverstone, Tas.)
