Michael, Southern Emu-wren have been recorded from a number of East
Gippsland coastal locations but only one of these is from Cann River
district.
So, yes it's quite possible the species has been reported correctly.
I encourage the original observer to lodge the details with the Atlas of
Victorian Wildlife so this new location
(?) record can be atlassed.
