Nikolas,
No recent Regent H/e sightings that I'm aware of, but the mistletoe
is still flowering well and this is attracting friarbirds, lorikeets
and other honeyeaters. Definitely worth keeping an eye out wherever
you see general honeyeater activity. As always, please report any
Regent sightings to either David Geering
or Tiffany Mason
There are many possible spots for PBQ, Turquoise Parrots and Speckled
Warblers but try searching the hillsides behind the Glen Davis
campground and the start of the Newnes walking track, which could be
productive for any of these species at the moment. Also lots of good
habitat along the road towards Rylstone, and along Port Macquarie
Road.
Genowlan Road bridge is always a good area for Little Eagles. I
rarely go to the Capertee Valley without seeing a Little Eagle
somewhere though.
The Little Red Flying Fox camp on the Capertee River has gone, but
it's possible they've moved further down the river and I haven't had
a chance to search recently.
