Hi Cheryl,

Unfortunately, there's no way of knowing ahead of time if ginger will help
you.  I tried it twice without taking medication on pelagics and was
violently ill both times - however Kwells works very well for me.
Essentially, ginger can help some people but not everyone (see the hilarious
Mythbusters episode where they test seasickness remedies - the only one that
really works is medication).  Worth noting also that medication doesn't seem
to help everyone (see Tony's response earlier!), however this is, I believe,
pretty rare.
