G'day from soggy north Queensland.
There has been plenty of rain over the last few days and not conducive to birding. However it has brought a couple of treats. White-rumped Swiftletts flying between the trees in the more open parts of the yard and a Bush Hen calling in the yard. I am yet to actually see one in the garden but this is the third time they have called recently. There was a Little Shrike-thrush sounding very much like a Bowers which got me excited until I tracked the bird down. It then moved into the bushes near the office and serenaded me as I worked.

Regards,
Alan Gillanders
