This is an incredibly big job, but if done right it will be awesome. However, it seems as though the teething problems are equally big.

Our official launch date was February 26th. However, due to phenomenal load on our servers, we reverted to our pages served prior to launch. We are working hard to remedy the situation and will resume momentarily

Cheers

Dear All,

An exciting project has just been launched on the internet, The Encyclopedia of Life. The aim of the project is to have a web page for every species on Earth (or at least those as have been described) The web site can be found at www.eol.org

They are having a few problems at the moment with the projects servers keeping up with demand, but give it a few days and full access will be available. Demonstration pages are accessible though, so one can get an idea of what to expect. The demo pages look quite impressive.

Cheers,

Carl Clifford
