Sorry for the late start into the discussion. I got my copy of Christidis &
Boles today and only had about an hour to look into it. I like it a lot so far
and I am looking forward to spending some more time with it in the near future.
However, I already found a few non-Australian errors:

1. Flamingo taxa ruber and roseus are mixed up
ruber is actually the Caribbean, Central American, and Galapagos taxon (also
known as Caribbean or Red (ruber is Latin for red) Flamingo).
roseus is actually the African, European, and Asian taxon (also known as
Greater or Pink (roseus is Latin for pink) Flamingo)
(chilensis is Chilean Flamingo; some authors see all three taxa as species
within the superspecies Phoenicopterus [ruber]; e.g the late Andreas Helbig)

2. In the genus Arborophila the first 'r' is consequently missing. These
partridges live in forests - they LOVE TREES - Arbor is Latin for tree, philein
is Greek for to love.

Cheers,

Nikolas
