Hi Michael and B-A, On Saturday (26/01) we had a small number (10 +/-) of WTNT about 30 kms north of Bairnsdale and one or two FTS. Exact numbers were hard to judge as we were watching them through tree cover over the road. There were also 2 Square-tailed Kites that circled low overhead as we hunted for Cicadabirds. For those who replied to my RFI we found one Cicadabird on the track into Fairy Dell near Bruthen (Vic). On Monday morning (28/01) there were 2 large groups of WTNT circling very high over Yeerung Gorge East of Marlo (Vic). There was no wind and their calls could be heard as they drifted slowly from SE to NW. No FTS were seen in the groups. cheers Jen =============================== www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.com To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: =============================== |
