Hi Mike,
Six of your Fork-tailed Swifts were flying over Avoca Beach
village and surf club (NSW Central Coast) last Saturday morning early, ahead
of clouds moving south. Welcome Swallows, notably smaller, were pestering
them. I haven't seen FtSs at Avoca before.
Next morning, twenty WTNTs were in the same area, no
Fork-tails. WTNTs are regular every summer around Avoca, not always in the
vicinity of cloud.
