Jan. 2, Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse: Rock Parrots [pretty confiding], but more unexpectedly, 5 Western Bristlebirds feeding on the lawns. Two came within 25 feet of us, allowing excellent views, and detailed comparison of the markings of m. and f., stronger in the former. Lots of Black Cockies of all 3 species at Wungong Gorge. Finally, yet another tribute to Frank O'Connor, whose web information has been so invaluable for visitors over the years, and whose engaging company I [Ted] enjoyed on a memorable boat trip to Ashmore reef some years ago. Ted Nixon & Pippy Cannon. ==============================www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.com To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: ============================= |
