Hi birders, I just got back to Sydney from a trip down to where the birds had been seen - as has been reported by others, they have flown the coop and are no longer there. I made 2 visits, and probably spent about an hour looking for them at the former location, as well as looking around a few other spots around Burrill Lake proper, but they weren't anywhere I looked. Oh well. Tried to make up for it by looking for the Lake Conjola Hooded Plovers, but the ~1000 people on the beach put paid to that. I ran away, as I'm sure they have/did. Happy birding for 2008, and I'll see some of you around the traps at some stage.
