Hi

Having heard of the Blue-billed Duck (breeding?) at Carrara Wetlands,
near Southport,Gold Coast, Qld I thought I'd drop in while passing on
Christmas Day. I did, but with no success. I walked around the 'first'
lake on the left of the junction and only later realised how big the
ponds are further along. I didn't have a lot of time and hadn't expected
such a large area nor the water coverage of reeds and lilies that makes
it more diffciult to spot individual ducks. Has anyone out there got any
up to date info on the presence or otherwise of this bird?

TIA
Colin.
