Thanks to all of you who replied to my posts over the last 3 months as I made
my way around the country taking in the sights and the wildlife.

Special thanks go to Richard Nowotny, Peter Jacoby, Alice Ewing, Terry
Langworthy and Tom Tarrant and my regards to Peter et al at Broome. It's been
a super fantastical birding adventure. Birding the UK will never ever be the
same.

Highlights have been a fabulous day biring in and around Werribee, learning
common species and endemics in wonderful Tas, especially brilliant Bruny
island, the stark loneliness of cold nights on the Nullabor, the untouched
dunes at Eyre, the majestic forests of the South West and the bird viewing
platform called the Gloucester Tree, Broome and Roebuck Bay (of course), Fogg
Dam, which was awesome, I slept in a "standbycars "van overnight here and was
up bright and early enabling the best views of (yet to be spooked) birdlife,
and not least, a week on the Atherton Tablelands where the birds are abundant
and fascinating.

Bird of the trip: House Sparrow. Why not? I'm not biased. They're all good
here. We don't got so many back home these days see?

Thanks again y'all

James

P.S. I'm off to NZ, Tuesday, and then on to Fiji (later on in January I
think), returning to Sydney for a week or so around about March time, 2008,
before flying off to Asia. I'm tired but not enough to stop birding yet!
