On Friday morning (26 Oct) I saw a female King Parrot on the Yarra bank, from the main Yarra Trail below the Plenty River footbridge - towards the distance marker. I checked the bird for leg-rings, because she might have been an escape - none present. This morning, about 10 am (Daylight Saving), after leaving the BOCA 'Breakfast with the Birds' activities at Banyule Flats, we were driving in Banyule Rd, just west of the Native Garden area, when two male King Parrots flew in front of the car and through the large pine trees at the Child Care Centre.
