Give me shout if you want to head out some time.

I live at Ryde, about 5 minutes up the road. A trip to Mason and
Bicentennial Park is usually good for between 40 and 55 species in 1.5
hours.

Exciting to hear about the flagged Pacific Golden Plover. This
would
have been flagged by the recently formed Indonesian Banding
Program
(although the flag combination has been allocated for some time)
on the
        island of Java.

All flag combinations can be seen at
        http://www.shorebirdnetwork.org/leg_flags.html

To those interested, there was a pacific golden plover with a
black flag
above a red flag on the right leg at Mason Park yesterday.

I couldn't find the grey plover, although I was birding with
baby and my
        search wasn't comprehensive.
