I said I hadn't noted the tail shape, yet I have drawing of it.  It was
square, but people may have guessed that from the mention of "corners".

The only suggestion so far has been winter plumage Pied Honeyeater, but
I've rejected that suggestion because of the white tail edges.  In this
case the white ran all the way to the tip.
