sacred kingfisher morningside brisbane

Hi,
I just wanted to report a sighting of a stunning sacred kingfisher, located
on the outer edge of a small forest in Morningside in Brisbane. It looked
closer in appearance to an adult female, with the buff coloring lower on the
belly rather than higher up.

 It was very verbal and was swooping a pair of magpies with 4 young perched
nearby in a tree (very game little thing!). After it had `told off' the
magpies, it went for a nearby group of grey butcherbirds, who currently have
young in their nest. He `told them off' too, and then sat atop a gum tree
for while, between the two families of birds, scolding them.

Maybe theres a nest nearby? I'll keep my eyes peeled, as I walk there each
day.
