Hi all,

Today at the Metromix spot on the way to Kurnell (NSW) I saw a pair doing the
same. There also looks to be a Pied Oystercatcher behaving like it's
nesting/setting up. One bird was sitting, well hidden. I only noticed it as I
went over the island with the scope, and saw a red beak. Had to move into a
better position to see it sitting quite low to the ground, and its partner kept
flying to and from the sitting bird. I noted that there was a pair nesting
there last season as well.

Also saw a total of about 35 Curlew at the peak of low tide at Quibray Bay,
feeding amongst the old oyster beds, and from Bonna point in amongst the
mangroves. I was there ~3 weeks ago, and only saw a few (maybe 5-6?), so
there's been some arrivals. Or I'm paying more attention. One of the two.

There were also around 10 Bar-tailed Godwits, but they've been around the area
over winter. No Tattlers were seen today.

Also saw a Grey Goshawk at around 4.30 at Loftus.

Cheers
Troy
