Sad to hear the Scammels have sold Mt Lyndhurst.....the years of
terrible drought probably took their toll........they had a genuine interest
in the fantastic birds on their property .They also made birders from
around Australia (and the world) welcome.

The Chestnut-breasted Whiteface site should never be a camp site.
The camping was , and hopefully still will be, at the homestead itself
(just down the road). Camping at the actual site will further put pressure
on the dead vegetation (firewood) which appears to be critical to the
whitefaces and the grasswren. Disturbance of the birds is obviously a
main concern also.

Cheers,

Bill Moorhead
