I have been planning a trip to the Strzeleckie area, and have just
spoken
to Mt Lyndhurst Stn re camping there.
The Scammels have sold, and the new owner is Bill Baade, who lives in SE SA.
There will not be anyone permanently at the Mt Lyndhurst homestead for a
while, but someone will be visiting as necessary.
Bill asked me to circulate that, if no answer re accom or camping at Mt
Lyndhurst ((08) 8675 7796), to phone him at (08) 8757 4061, or mob 0417 824
829. He will be monitoring use of the camping site, so it is important for
birders to 'do the right thing' prior to visiting, and then keeping the
campsite clean.
Thanks to Ian May for his mention of the L-w Kites around Montecollina -
very timely for me! Re-visiting them was one of my aims of the trip.
