G'day,
 On Monday 18/06 a Chestnut-breasted Cuckoo was sighted at the Curtain Fig in
Yungaburra. It was seen as close as four metres in good light. An adult
bird. I was able to point out the field marks or lack there of to the guests
who were with me and some other birders who were surprised to see it here;
but not as surprised as me, I think.
 Today, 20/06, Three Australian Shovellers at Hasties Swamp. One eclipse male
and two female plumaged birds.
 Just east of the Swamp on Hasties Road there were Blue-winged Kookaburra and
Red-backed Kingfisher on adjacent spans of power line. There are many
Little/ White-bellied Cuckoo-shrikes around at the moment and some of these
are very dark.
Regards,
Alan Gillanders
