Saturday afternoon driving along Paternoster Road Mt. Burnett Vic. a Wedge-tailed Eagle flew from near the top of Eucalypts lining the road with a Ringtail Possum nest clutched in both feet, dry leaves and bark were dropping from the nest as the Eagle flew through below canopy level. We live a short distance from this area and have had a pair of Powerful Owls frequenting the area for the last six weeks or so. We obviously have a very healthy Ringtail population.
