Hi Birders,
A reminder that the first national Swift Parrot and Regent Honeyeater survey
for the year is coming up on the weekend of the19-20th May. For those not able
to get involved on those exact dates, we also include the week previous and
following in the survey effort; and of course we want to hear about any
sightings outside these dates as well. Currently there are volunteers involved
from Vic, NSW, ACT, Qld and SA and we can always do with some more help to
cover the large migratory range of these species.

I have been interested to read the postings so far for this year and would like
to know as much as possible about the birds activity and habitat use where they
are seen. Survey forms are available from the following web address:
http://www.threatenedspecies.environment.nsw.gov.au/tsprofile/profile.aspx?id=10455
 (left-hand side of page).

Please contact the relevant coordinators for further information:
Belinda Cooke, Swift Parrot Mainland Coordinator (NSW, SA, ACT, Qld): free call
1800 66 57 66,
Garry Cheers, Swift Parrot Field Officer: phone 03 5461 2970,

David Geering, Regent Honeyeater Recovery Coordinator: freecall 1800 621 056

Thanks,
Belinda Cooke
