hi all

had a good day of non-birding with binoculars :) on monday. wernt to mt
tamoritha area.

found a small section not completly destroyed by fire, and "had a quick
look". heathwren was interesting: i allways thought they were near on
impossible to see, and i came across one feeding on a bridge. it was best
described as hypo, jumping, hopping and flitting everyone. was cautious, buy
got used to me when i turned the car off and stood still. unusual????

here's what i saw on the way there, while there and on the way back":

Red Wattlebird

Australian Magpie

Pied Currawong

Willie Wagtail

Wedge-tailed Eagle

Little Corella

Australian Wood Duck

Pacific Black Duck

Chestnut-rumped Heathwren

Laughing Kookaburra

Australian King-Parrot

Superb Fairy-wren

Striated Thornbill

Dusky Moorhen

Sulphur-crested Cockatoo

Musk Lorikeet

Rainbow Lorikeet

Galah

Straw-necked Ibis

P.S. mt taboritha is ~30 km nw of licola, which is ~50 km north of taralgon
