There is a similar roost to those described at the corner of Pacific
Hwy, Miller St & Mount St at North Sydney. It used to be mostly
common myna but now the mynas are heavily out-numbered by Rainbow
Lorikeets.
It is mainly used when the Plane Trees have lost their leaves & at
last light, the pairs swoop in along the chasms of North Sydney & the
noise of their excited socialising drowns out the traffic din. On a
dreary winters after work evening it is wonderful to have the wild
come to the city.

count)
roost in just a handful of trees there - and lots of common mynas also
are roosting in the same set of trees.
So, at about midway between Brisbane and Melbourne, the behaviour
seems
to be the same.
