For what it's worth I've been a member of both organisations but found BA
fit my requirements more as I became a bit more experienced and learned
more about birds.  I'm now only a member of BA.  I still enjoy reading my
dad's BOCA magazine 6-times a year however!

I see the Catholics and Anglicans are looking at the possibilities of
merging.  Maybe our two birding organisations could do the same.  Less
administrative overheads would be a good thing.
