Which reminds me that I saw an Osprey at Bolton Point about 2 weeks ago-
forgot to report it, and also a day or so later a Black Falcon in the same
area.

Hello all,

I've just returned from a short trip to Tasmania. Didn't have time to do
much birdwatching unfortunately but I'll have plenty of time over the next
few years. I'll be exiting birding-aus soon to ease the pressure on my email
until I get set up properly in Tasmania. Similarly my website won't be
updated for a few weeks yet.

Back in Toronto (central coast NSW) this morning there were more flocks of
migrating Yellow-faced Honeyeaters heading north. This is in addition to the
flocks that I saw over the few days before I went down to Tas. I find this a
bit disturbing. I don't remember seeing migrating YFHe this early in
previous years.

On a happier note I saw an Osprey at Fennell Bay bridge today (northern Lake
Macquarie).

Cheers

Mick Todd
