Just a comment on David's short list of birds for this remnant block of 
habitat near the Victorian coast, south east of Geelong.

I've also been there on windy days and found it difficult to detect 
birdlife.  No doubt the dry conditions are also contributing to this.  The 
reserve does indeed have an impressive bird list but the vegetation has 
changed substantially over the years and this has been recorded by a 
number of botanists (see refs below).  The lack of fire has also 
presumably contributed to the growth of a very dense shrub layer and 
possible tree decline.

It is a site still worth visiting though, especially early in the day 
(when it's not windy!).
