Jim,

Yathong NR is a grerat place and it sounds like you had a good time and saw some great birds.

How certain are you that you saw a Blue-winged Parrot? Blue-winged Parrots breed in Tasmania and the south-east coast of Victoria & the far southern tip of NSW at this time of the year and migrate inland to western NSW and SW Queensland in March-April, returning Sep-Oct. They ought not to be at Yathong at this time of the year although anything is possible with birds. Turquoise Parrots have occasionally been seen that far out. Any thoughts?
