NSW Birders,
A reminder to all those who have made any interesting bird sightings of late or
have been on a trip in NSW and have seen anything out of the usual to inform
Birdline NSW.
All bird sightings (no matter how unusual) are valuable in knowing where birds
frequent, what they are doing and when they are at certain locations etc.
Even if you feel that your unusual sighting may not be as significant as others
do not hesitate to submit it to Birdline.
Once they are submitted records are uploaded into the Birdline NSW database and
become a valuable resource for anyone who may need such information in the
future (wether they are bird watchers or biologists).
Bird records are important for conservation and can be very valuable to
researchers, they are also collaborated into the annual NSW Bird Report.
There are two options for leaving your sightings:
Via telephone - (02)9439-9536
Dial the above number, wait until the end of the recorded message then report
sightings after the tone.
Remember to leave your name, location and date of sighting and most importantly
what you saw or heard.
