Happy New Year to everyone (and early wishes to those in SA, WA, QLD  
and other places not on Eastern Summer Time).
All the best for the year, and for your yearlists. Who has the first  
bird for the year, and the first new tick?  Will it be John Harris up  
in the Mallee, or has Dools another trick up his sleeve?
Don't forget the Garden Bird Survey - 7 - 8 am I think.  Uggh -  
that's not many hours away ....
