Galahs feeding

A large flock of over 100 Galahs have descended on the Acacia longifolia which 
are growing near the edges of Lake Illawarra 1 hour south of Sydney. These 
bushes are around 5 mts high and 5 mts across and are full of ripe seed. A 
flock of Little Corellas have also been seen feeding in the Acacias, although 
both species are common to the area they are not found in this location in this 
number. Last year at seeding time both species were seen feeding in the 
Acacias. It is interesting how birds find their food throughout the year and 
how flocks which my be dispersed come together when there is food available.
