For the information of list members. I have just checked the Atlas of Victorian Wildlife (AVW) database and there are no records of Pheasant Coucal. If any birdos have observed the species in far east Victoria (eg. East Gippsland), they have not advised the atlas. I encourage anyone visiting Victoria to at least send the unusual records to the atlas or advise Birds Australia. I'm happy to pass on sighting information to my colleagues in the AVW section here in East Melbourne. cheers, Martin Martin O'Brien Wildlife Biologist - Threatened Species & Communities Section Department of Sustainability and Environment 2/8 Nicholson St., East Melbourne 3002 VICTORIA =============================== www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.com To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: =============================== |
