Hi Brian,I am at Barden Ridge and so far this season we have not had our usual koel close by. My father at Kogarah Bay has one that sits calling in a tree just outside his bedroom window for the last several years. That got me thinking, is it always the same Koel that comes back to the same tree? If that is a general behaviour pattern, then the non-arrival in your mulberry tree, and our usual nearby caller, could be because the bird has died and its place has not been take by another. Roger |
