  Hey,

There are currently 3 Painted Snipe at Lenaghans Dr. near Pambalong
N.R., Hunter Valley. Two birds were found there by Mike Newman and Ann
Lindsey last friday, but there are now 3, looks like two females and a
male. Lenaghans Dr. can be reached by taking the Minmi exit, which is
about 400m south bound from the freeway end at the Beresfield
roundabout. Once passing the the Hexham swamps on your left, you take
the gravel rd left, near the gravel services sign. On this rd. you
will pass through a tunnel of casuarinas, the birds are roosting under
the first and second casuarinas that are in the swamp on your right.
They flush readily so be cautious, best to park before the row of
casuarinas, although they stay when approached by car.
