In response to your 2nd query - "... where do Pied Currawongs nest in the
Sydney area?", I suppose the answer was up a gum tree in my neighbour's yard
(unfortunately it was cut down recently).

Pied Currawongs nest regularly here in the South Penrith area, hence we also
have a quite large influx of CB Cuckoos at this time of year.
