Hi Jen,

It is possible to do day and I suspect half day birding trips from Bangkok. A friend of mine and I are going there in May next year and have booked to do a couple of (separate) days birding. Check through google and you'll see what is available. You can book over the net although we didn't as we have a friend in Bangkok who does it for us.

Happy birding,

Fiona

Hi all,

This maybe one of the silliest RFIs I have submitted, however, having never been to Bangkok I am going to ask. Does anyone know of any birding spots in the middle of Bangkok?

I am going for a week of meetings and will be restricted to the centre of town for all but maybe a half day. The hotel is within walking distance of something called Lumpini Park.

I am vaguely optimistic because I go to Kuala Lumpur quite often and the Water Garden in the middle of town is excellent, and for a half day trip the Forest Reserve is very good. There is also good reaptor and swift watching from the hotel windows. I am hoping Bangkok will have something similar.

Thanks

Jen
