Michael,
We had one at Murrurundi today too. The Hunter Bird Observeres Club Annual 
Report lists the species as "Rare", but perhaps it is on the increase. It seems 
to turn up in odd locations (such as a backyard in Lambton, an inner suburb of 
Newcastle) but I haven't been aware of it being resident anywhere. Alan Stuart 
might like to comment?
