Martin and others,

There was a King Parrot flying downstream along Back Creek immediately upstream of its junction with Gardiners Creek in Glen Iris (about 10 km ESE of Melbourne CBD) last weekend - didn't get a good look but probably female-plumaged bird. The bird was calling repeatedly. Maybe making its way to Richmond?

Also my first suburban Sacred Kingfisher of the season, beside Gardiners Creek in Blackburn South late on Monday afternoon - an unexpected highlight for the ride home.

Regards,

   Jack
