Hi Martin

Here in Bayside, as with Bruce in Glen Waverley, sometimes individual 
King-parrots hang around for several weeks.

Some have been quite tame, but many wild birds are because of feeding.

The table below is in terms of birds, i.e. excluding sequences probably 
relating to particular individuals.

The records in August to October relate to 1988 (1 record) and then 2003 (2 
records), 2004 (6 records), and 2005 (2 records).

So there may be some sort of increase and a greater likelihood of them being 
around urban Melbourne at this time of year.

It's interesting that most of these records are from areas with substantial 
amounts of mistletoe (but after fruiting and before flowering?).
