During the westerly winds on Sat.23/9 I had 100+ White-browed and
Masked Woodswallows over my house at Weston, Kurri Kurri, about 40mins
from Newcaslte NSW. Although these birds are rare to uncommon in the
lower hunter valley(or anywhere in the hunter) they have hawked over
my house at least 2-3 times a year, for the past 4yrs(since moving
here) after strong westerlys in summer. These birds were the earliest
record during spring I have had.

  Steve Roderick.
