Hi there birders,
I had an interesting question on my birding blog yesterday. A reader
from Adelaide asked "Do Blackbirds swoop people?"
I had to reply no - not in my experience and I've never heard of anyone
else experiencing or seeing this. A search on the net revealed nothing.
A read through the entry on Blackbirds in HANZAB has no mention of such
behaviour.
Does anyone have any comments on this?
As a result of this question I have written an article on my birding
blog about aggressive behaviour in birds and how to deal with it if it
is directed at humans. I would invite readers of Birding-Aus to read the
article and comment in the comments section. Thanks in anticipation.

Happy birding - and don't forget to duck that swooping magpie!!
