Hi Chris,

When I lived in the London area in the 1950s, blue-tits according to my Aunt
only chose the bottles with the gold foil tops, i.e. the higher cream
content 'Jersey' milk, leaving the standard bottles unless that was all that
was available. So this might point to them enjoying high fat cream? In any
case, a blue-tit would not be able to drink more than the top few mm of the
milk due to their small size.

On the other hand, while living in Glenbrook, NSW in the early 1980s, the
Australian Magpies were a pest as they were able to completely remove the
foil caps and drink quite a lot of the contents.
