Around 80 plus Gannets off Altona just west of Melbourne some within 50 metres
of the beach. The tide was high (about 12.00 noon) and none were diving.

Hi all,

Yesterday there were 3 Spiney-cheeked Honeyeaters here at Maribyrnong, 100m
south of the Canning St bridge . They aren't here regularly but I saw them
twice last year August and October and this year they have appeared in April
and now July.

A collegue of mine told me that she saw 44 Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoos along
the Merri Creek in the Brunswick/Northcote area in the last couple of weeks.

regards
Jim Caine
