Hen & Chicken Bay,Sydney. Waders

I was visiting someone in Charlton St, Abbotsford (on hen and Chicken Bay) on saturday and it was low tide. There were at least 20 bar tailed godwits and 5 black winged stilts, as well as some type of sandpiper on the mudflats. Its a nice, quiet spot too for watching them. They totally ignored my daughter's mud activities.Lucky residents! Unlike the idiot whose dog managed to chase every wader near Timbrell park last tuesday morning. perhaps its time to ban dogs from the mudflats.
