Birders,
As some may already know, I've just handed in my thesis and ended 8 years of
university education. Phew, I'm glad that's over. To reward myself I'm
thinking about taking my wife up to Kingfisher Lodge in FNQ for a week or
so.

It's too far to consider driving, so we'd fly up and hire a car at the
airport. I'd like to stay in the Park and trip around the place to pick up
some of the other birds around the area and have a general look around. What
I'm really interested in is what's the access like around there? If we hire
a hyundai getz will we regret it? (obvoius deficiencies aside) Mostly asking
because I wouldn't mind doing it on the cheap, and then we can spend more on
food and wine. But if we'll be completely hamstrung by a feeble FWD we might
have to cut back on food.
